for the department Global Executive and Talent Development

The department Global Executive and Talent Development is responsible for the top executives of Munich Re and their development as well as internal and external succession pipelines. In addition, the unit sets the global framework for systematic talent identification and management. Your placement will ideally be from November 2017 to March 2018 which can be adjusted slightly if necessary. Following a full-time induction phase of at least eight weeks, the internship can also be completed on a part-time basis with a minimum of 16–20 hours per week towards the end of the internship.

  • Provide assistance with global talent and executive initiatives and projects
  • Prepare data, presentations and information material for annual executive development discussions
  • Support global talent acquisition and executive search activities
  • Active participation in research activities and preparation of current talent and market intelligence/analytics
  • Student of social sciences, economics or humanities, ideally having already completed your Bachelor’s degree
  • Initial practical experience in the areas of recruiting or talent management
  • Open and communicative personality
  • Stamina and eye for detail as well as being highly motivated and having the ability to work under your own initiative
  • Interest in insurance/financial services sector, new technologies, digitalisation and innovation
  • Flexibility and resilience to work simultaneously on a number of diverse topics and projects
  • Fluent in English to communicate with the English speaking team
